Erik "Wolfie" Wolford
Producer
Today Erik “Wolfie” Wolford is a seasoned cinematographer, CEO, and co-founder of Gate of Horn Productions, however Wolfie's cinematic adventure began as they all begin - with a story. Fascinated with the art form from a young age, he began writing plays and reading scripts in college. By 19, he was a produced playwright, and by 21 he had established a successful theater company in New Mexico which went on to run for more than 20 years. This storytelling passion is at the heart of Gate of Horn, driving the discovery of narratives that are both enthralling and commercially compelling.
After college, Wolfie was off to live in Hollywood, where he worked in the lighting department alongside directors like Spike Jonze, Michel Gondry, and Francis Lawrence, eventually becoming a go-to subject matter expert in cinematic lighting, beauty lighting, and the latest technology in LED walls, truly laying the foundation for his stellar career.
As the CEO of Wolf Team Productions, Wolfie brings together some of the most talented individuals in the industry to film and produce feature films, commercials, music videos, and more. Wolfie's lens has captured the world—from Budapest to Antarctica and Mount Everest—delivering visually stunning footage. His portfolio includes contributions to blockbusters like "Iron Man 3," "Star Trek: Into Darkness," and "Interstellar," as well as recent collaborations with artists such as Miley Cyrus and Jason Mraz, live tapings of the Rolling Stones and U2, and narrative projects like "Unicorn Diaries" and "The GOAT CODE" TV series.
The resident futurist on the team, Wolfie dedicates weekends to educating the next generation through engaging talks and hands-on seminars.
